Online Manufacturing Management Certificate of Completion
The pace of manufacturing is constantly accelerating—it’s never too soon to sharpen your competitive edge.
According to the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters’ Management Issues Survey, the occupational segment among manufacturers with the largest expected growth-of-need over the next five years is not skilled production or technicians and engineers—it’s management.
To help address that need, Athabasca University (AU) has launched an online Manufacturing Management certificate of completion (MMC) in partnership with the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters and the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Centre of Excellence.
Athabasca University’s Manufacturing Management certificate of completion enables you to cultivate business intelligence while maintaining resources focused on production. Courses on leadership, supply chain, safety management, financial decision-making, and quality management among others, will help you discover new strategies for enhancing efficiency, stimulating productivity, and driving innovation.
Benefits to Students
It is common practice in manufacturing to promote production employees into supervisory or management positions—opportunity abounds. The online MMC prepares students for long-term success in management by providing immediately applicable knowledge, skills and strong peer mentorship, without requiring travel to a classroom.
You will also earn part-time student status while enrolled in the courses.
Online certificate of completion requirements
The online Manufacturing Management certificate of completion is made up of eight courses worth one graduate level credit each (see schedule) . All eight credits must be completed to earn the Manufacturing Management certificate of completion. Online LMD courses can be taken in any order.
Fees
Fees are $1183 per course which includes all materials, and Graduate Student Association fees of $13 per credit. AU alumni (degree holders only) will receive a 20% reduction.
Note: All Fees are payable in Canadian dollars and are subject to change.
Transfer credit available
All eight online courses can transfer to a Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management (GDLM). You will need to complete ten additional credits to satisfy requirements to earn the GDLM. In addition, three online courses may transfer for one three-credit elective within Athabasca University’s online MBA for executives should you meet the entry requirements and be accepted into the MBA.
