Danielle Galletly, Bachelor of Management

Online Bachelor of Management

The Athabasca University online Bachelor of Management is a three year general degree program.

As of July 1, 2020 we will no longer accept new admissions to the four-year Bachelor of Management degree. The three-year (90 credit) Bachelor of Management program will still be open and continue to be a valued degree program.

At that time the HR and Marketing majors will open under our Bachelor of Commerce program.

Our four-year Bachelor of Commerce will be offered with a General route as well as majors in Accounting, Finance, Business Technology Management, Human Resources Management, and Marketing.

Graduates of the three-year Bachelor of Management program will be able to ladder their degree into any of the four-year Bachelor of Commerce routes.

The Indigenous Nations and Organizations (INO) major is being revamped as well and a new major in “Indigenous Business” will become available soon (likely January 2021).

Students who are already active in the BMgmt or BComm programs will still follow the regulations that are in effect from when they were accepted into the program and will be unaffected by this change.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to a program advisor for assistance by contacting our Student Support Centre.

What I have learned is helping me shape the strategy of my business, quantifying the results of the actions I want to take. I chose Athabasca University specifically because I enjoy the independent learning approach it takes and the ability to incorporate my studies within my schedule. AU allows me to balance everything.
