When did AU become CPHR accredited?

The agreement was signed April 25, 2018. However, a grandfathering clause within the agreement means that those students who have graduated from the bachelor of management, major in human resources management since December 2016 and who meet the grade requirement (overall B-/2.7 or higher) will still be eligible.

Do I need to be a graduate of the BMgmt program?

Yes, you must be a graduate of the Bachelor of Management, major in Human Resources Management since December 2016.

What are the main advantages?

Discount of 50% off the CPHR student membership fee for all students registered in the Bachelor of Management, major in Human Resources Management for the duration of their program.

Those who achieve an overall cumulative average of B- (2.7) grade in the Bachelor of Management, major in Human Resources Management will be eligible to waive the National Knowledge Exam (NKE).

Is there a minimum pass mark?

Yes, the minimum pass mark is an overall cumulative average of B- (2.7).

Does this apply outside of Alberta? 

Yes, although the agreement was signed with CPHR Alberta, other provincial CPHR Canada Associations will recognize the program and it has been shared with the national body. Visit CPHR Canada for more details.
