Change management isn’t a skill limited to the workplace.
The only constant in life is change, and how much support you have when going through a change – from family, friends, your peers and your mentors – can make a big difference in how successful you are on the other side.
Faculty of Business MBA student Jessica Neilands was recently featured by her employer, GM, as part of their employee spotlight “We Do So Much More”. A Global Supply Chain Group Leader for the company in Ontario, Jessica has been successful in her graduate studies with some assistance from GM’s Tuition Assistance Program. Employer Sponsorship for students completing graduate-level studies is beneficial to both parties. AU MBA students learn skills that can be applied in their workplace right away, bringing their employer immediate returns.
Jessica has maintained her studies while going through another large change: earlier this year she and her family moved to a new town for an opportunity with GM. With the flexibility of the Athabasca University MBA for executives and the support of her family and employer, Jessica is cruising to success!

Many other AU MBA success stories, twenty-five to be exact, are shared on our 25th-anniversary site, firstonlinemba.ca. From social development to aviation and everything in-between, our MBA alumni come from diverse backgrounds and have taken the next step in their career by completing their MBA.
