Alain May,  Kam Jugdev and Chad Saunders (Academic Coach, Athabasca University; Assistant Professor, Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Strategy, Haskayne School of Business, cross-appointed with the Department of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary) delivered a Faculty of Graduate Studies presentation on October 10, 2013. The presentation was on grant writing and focused on Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) grants.

Along with Dr. Cheyl Kier (Centre for Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) and Dr. Carolyn Park (Centre for Nursing and Health Studies, Faculty of Health Disciplines), Dr. Jugdev delivered a presentation hosted by the Centre for Learning Design and Development (September 13, 2013) series on “Conversations in Teaching and Learning Online.”  The trio shared their experiences in using debates in online courses as well as their multi disciplinary academic collaborations.

Sid Huff, along with colleagues Kevin Carillo and Brenda Chawner, have had a paper accepted in the upcoming Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS).  The paper is titled “It’s not only about writing code: An investigation of the notion of citizenship behaviours in the context of free/open source software communities,” and will be presented at the HICSS conference in January 2014.
