Paul DeBarros, MBA ‘09, SCMP, CPPO, PMP is excited to join the Government of Bermuda as the Principal Purchasing and Supply Officer for the Ministry of Public Works. His extensive government procurement and supply management experience will increase operational effectiveness through automating its functions utilizing their new JD Edwards ERP system.

Chris Clifford, MBA ’15 is enjoying his new role as a project manager at Canem Systems Ltd. Canem is one of the largest western Canadian electrical contractors, specializing in large commercial projects like hospitals, data centres and sports arenas. Canem also works on national projects through their strategic partnership plan.

Jennifer McGill, MBA ’15 has recently transitioned from the Alberta Public Service to work for a growing consulting company, Davis Pier, based in Halifax Nova Scotia. As lead consultant, Jennifer will leverage her diverse experience in both private and public sectors to support clients to realize complex system innovation.

Victoria Grainger, MBA student, has started a new position at Alberta Blue Cross as Manager of Wellness Programs. In this role Victoria is tasked with building a Wellness Strategy to help Alberta Blue Cross be recognized as a leader in the wellness arena. This strategy is focused on delivering wellness solutions through research and partnerships to support individuals, organizations, and communities to bolster health care sustainability and add value to clients.

Jack Berry, MBA’ 16 has recently started a new position with Alberta Health Services. In his role as Executive Director for the Provincial Clinical Information System he will help lead the design and implementation supporting Clinical Support Services Operations. AHS’s CIS – “Connect Care” will help deliver on a vision for Albertan’s for Better Health, Powered by Information.

Fatima Catalan, MBA ’15 is very excited to join the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Douglas College. This role empowers her to influence future leaders by sharing her knowledge, experience, leadership and management skills with their students. Douglas College is one of the largest public post-secondary institutions in the province of British Columbia and welcomes international students from over 65 countries.

David McPherson, MBA ’16 is now the Acquisition Integration Manager for 3M Canada’s Personal Safety Division. In this role, David will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, cross-functional strategy to ensure organizational alignment and an optimized customer experience, while maximizing return on investment.

Iain Munro, MBA ‘04 recently started a new EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) company in Calgary called StarPoint Engineering Inc. As the President and CEO, he is passionate about growing his business and is currently in the startup phase where he is looking for great people to join him. Iain has earned a reputation over the years of being responsive and delivering when he says he will which he uses as his tag line for his company – We Commit, We Deliver, No Excuses.
