Martin is the Primary Care Lead for the ESC Health Integration Network and the regional quality lead for Health Quality Ontario. Martin Lees has a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Ottawa, a Master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and a PhD in management from Walden University. He also earned Fellowship in the Canadian College of Health Leaders and is a Certified Physician Executive of the Canadian Medical Association. Martin is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. His clinical work has been in primary care and emergency medicine. He is a faculty member for the Canadian Patient Safety Institute and the Physician Leadership Institute at the Canadian Medical Association.
Martin has management and leadership experience spanning over 20 years in healthcare systems in positions as manager, director, president of Professional Staff, Chief of Staff, and Vice President and Chief Medical Executive. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of several nonprofit corporations. His consulting work focuses on change management, organizational development, and strategic planning.
Martin has taught courses in the areas of leadership, corporate governance, ethics and strategy.
