AU’s application is integrated with the ApplyAlberta application and transcript transfer system. You will leave our web site at some points in the application process and visit an Alberta government site and the ApplyAlberta site.

SEE SIDEBAR NOTES regarding transfer credit and submitting transcripts.

You only have to apply once. When you receive your student ID, you can register for courses (step 2) as often as you like.

Step Two - Register

myAU: Your Student Portal

Register by the 10th of any month to officially start your online course on the 1st day of the following month. While you may have to wait till your official start date to submit assignments, you can start working on your online course almost immediately.

TRANSFER CREDIT

If you have already done post secondary course work, you can request a transfer credit evaluation on your application form. Once documentation from your school is received by our Registrar’s office, it takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks to receive the results. You may register in courses prior to receiving your transfer credit results, however you may wish to consult a Senior Program Advisor as any courses taken before your evaluation is complete are at your own discretion. There is a $100 fee for transfer credit evaluation.  More details on the transfer credit process >>

SUBMITTING TRANSCRIPTS

Alberta transcripts can be submitted through the ApplyAlberta web application (part of the online application, step one, above left). If you are transferring coursework from outside of Alberta official transcripts must be mailed directly from the issuing institution to Athabasca University at the following address:
