Meeting the challenges of your future
Accountants work in business and industrial organizations, educational institutions, government and private firms that offer accounting services to the public.
AU's Faculty of Business provides specific courses and programs to help you meet the requirements for designation as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified General Accountant (CGA). You can register only in the specific prerequisite courses that you require for your designation or you can enroll in a program that will help you to meet your goals.
You're invited!
Athabasca University Students are invited to attend a CMA information session to learn more about how a CMA designation can propel your career forward. The session will discuss:
- the value of becoming a CMA;

As a result, you should not rely solely on the courses listed herein to provide you with the level of knowledge, comprehension, or application required by entrance or other qualifying exams. You are encouraged to study for these exams based on the specific requirements outlined in the most recent syllabus of the applicable professional accounting organization. This may mean that you need to supplement your post-secondary course work with more syllabus-specific studies.
