Asa Lotoski, MBA student, PMP has re-joined Clearstream Energy Services as Turnaround Manager in North East BC. Asa will have a busy 2017 as he helps Clearstream provide turnaround services for gas processing facilities owned by a local energy giant.

Jakub Kropacek, B.Mgmt ’14 is excited to have joined the great team at SLH Picker Service & Pile Driving. His commercial lending, equipment sales and relationships building experience will be put to great use in positioning SLH as a preferred contractor with many of Alberta’s oil and gas companies and their picker, pile driving and hauling requirements!

Dave Landers, MBA ’05 has been recently appointed to the position of Chief Administrative Officer for the Corporation of the City of Timmins, whose mission is to promote a sustainable, diversified economy by enhancing community services and infrastructure, engaging people, and celebrating Timmins as a great place to live, learn and play.

Calvin Kanderka, BAdm ’03 will be working within the Procurement Services Group of Enbridge, responsible for internal stakeholder support on supply chain governance, policies, procedures, and compliance. He is also working to complete the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation program by June 2017.

Denyse Savage, MBA ’12 is now a National Sales and Marketing Manager at Natco Pharma(Canada) Inc. (NATCO CANADA) is a Canadian subsidiary of Natco Pharma Limited, India. Natco Pharma Limited (NATCO) is a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company heavily focused in research & development and in manufacturing drug intermediates, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) & finished formulations. NATCO has a global network and customer centric approach.

O’Ryan Hughes, MBA ’14  has recently co-founded a human resource management firm with offices in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. His new firm Stoppler Hughes is looking to re-energize the human resource industry with updated, customized services that merge well with the wants and values of todays business community. Brad Bissonnette, MBA ’10 recently accepted the role of VP Marketing and Franchise Recruitment for COBS Bread and is headed back to Vancouver where he will lead the Brand, Corporate Communications, Product Development and Franchising for North America. COBS Bread currently has 93 locations in Canada and 1 location in the USA.

Wilfran Molina, MBA ’16 is a Project Engineer for Startec Compression & Process Ltd. The company manufactures Gas Plants for the Oil and Gas industry and his role has different aspects in terms of engineering, procurement and construction.

Christina Grandish, BMgmt, ’12 is pleased to have started a new position as an Account Executive at Alberta Blue Cross. Her education has fine-tuned her skills in corporate communication, research and analysis, and client relationship management. She is responsible for ensuring a high level of service to existing clients and plays an active role in the implementation of new groups.

Tracey Bell, BAdm ’00 is pleased to have started a new position as Intake and Case Management Consultant with Fleming CREW, Employment Ontario. Her role is to provide clients with job search counseling and career planning services to provide direction and support as clients take the next steps towards employment. Fleming CREW provides assistance to people living throughout Peterborough and the surrounding community. We connect people looking for work with employers looking for workers.

Dr. Michael Opara, DBA ’14 (Lead author) and Dr. Fathi Elloumi, Associate Professor, Athabasca University (co-author) have had their paper accepted for publication in the Canadian Public Administration Journal (scheduled to appear in June 2017). The paper titled: “Emergence of Public Private Partnerships in Alberta: Lessons from the Anthony Henday Highway“, discusses the path of P3 emergence in Alberta, including the role of political, organizational and institutional forces, as well as the learning that accrued from the implementation approach.

Alin Dan, MBA ’11 has started a new position as Assistant Director, Business Solutions and Architecture at the Bank of Canada. Alin leads a team of IT professionals in delivering solutions for the Data and Statistics Office to ensure the quality and usability of structured analytic data for the economics departments. He also leads the team supporting IT solutions for the design and life-cycle management of the Canadian Banknotes.

Peter Goldberg, MBA ITM ’04 has recently joined iconic Canadian outdoor lifestyle company MEC as their ERP project manager. He is leading the transformation of their core warehouse, supply chain, financial and retail platforms. Peter has owned his own consulting company, PMG Project Services for 10 years and has been consulting in strategy and project management for major Canadian Companies including FortisBC, Pacific Blue Cross, and Port of Metro Vancouver and is the former Chief Process Architect at BC Hydro.

Vijay Chatterjee, MBA’15, is pleased to have accepted a new position as Senior Project Manager at Princeton Holdings. In this role, he will focus on setting up new Insurance application, data migration, and optimizing systems and business processes. Focus will be on innovation and leveraging technology to improve productivity and reduce operational cost.
