LMD courses are designed for individual managers and professionals with significant work experience who are poised for further leadership development.  If you are currently in a management, professional, or supervisory role and are ready to take the next steps in your career, AU’s online Leadership and Management Development (LMD) courses will help you sharpen your skills in key areas such as leadership, decision-making and change management.

All LMD courses require you to link management theory to practice within the discussions, allowing for immediate workplace impacts.

Flexible online learning:

Each online LMD course is four weeks in length and requires a minimum commitment of 8-12 hours per week.  Your time will be spent completing assigned readings, engaging in online discussions with peers and working on individual assignments.  The online learning environment is flexible, meaning you can be connected to the online classroom when it is convenient for you.  Either at work, at home, or while travelling.  While the online course environment allows you to complete your objectives in places convenient for you, you still must meet assigned deadlines and actively participate in the online environment throughout each week.

Earn transfer credit:

Each online LMD course is worth one credit should you later decide to apply to the online MBA for executives. Three LMD course credits may transfer for one three-credit online elective should you meet the qualifications for entry into the program.

Courses can also be included in the Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Leadership and Management (PBDLM).
