Shaun McQuitty, PhD

Shaun McQuitty joined Athabasca University in June, 2008. His previous academic experience includes ten years at New Mexico State University and three years at the University of Northern British Columbia. While at these universities, Shaun taught services, international, channels, strategy, research, and sports marketing at the undergraduate level, and seminars in multivariate statistics and structural equation modeling at the doctoral level. He received his PhD in marketing at the University of Alberta, with minors in micro economics and research methods. Shaun also has a BA in psychology from the University of Alberta.

Prior to attending graduate school and before, during, and after his undergraduate degree, Shaun sold car parts. He credits this experience for creating his interest in business and encouraging him to return to university to study business.

Shaun’s research interests include consumer behaviour, services marketing, international marketing, applied statistical analysis, structural equation modeling, and measurement. He has published over 30 articles in refereed journals such as the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Structural Equation Modeling, and Journal of Applied Measurement.
