Alex Kondra earned his PhD in Business Administration (Major: Industrial Relations, Minors: Organizational Analysis, Economics and Statistics) from the University of Alberta in 1995. He previously taught at Acadia University and was a faculty member while Acadia rolled out the first all laptop environment in Canada.

Alex has been with AU since 2001. He previously served at Athabasca University as the acting Vice President Academic, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Executive Director of the Centre for Innovative Management, acting Associate Vice President Academic, acting Director of the School of Business, and program director for AU’s undergraduate business programs.

Alex is currently the Faculty of Business Executive MBA program director as well as an Associate Professor, teaching in areas of organizational theory and human resources, and currently oversees MBA classes in; International Business: Understanding & Managing Legal Risks, The Human Side of Mergers & Acquisitions, and Doing Business in Greece. He also teaches in the undergraduate business program at AU.

His research interests include institutional theory, organizational culture, organizational image and change management. Dr. Kondra is a member of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada.
